What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Last updated July 2026.
The short version
We collect what you send us through the contact form or by email, and we use it to reply to you and to do the work you hired us to do. We don’t sell it, we don’t rent it, and we don’t share it with advertisers.
What we collect
What you give us. Your name, email address, and whatever you write in the contact form or in an email — including the details about your business you share so we can audit it.
What your browser sends. Standard server and analytics data: page requested, referring page, approximate region, browser and device type. We use it to understand which pages are useful. It is not tied to a named individual by us.
What we don’t collect.We don’t run advertising pixels, we don’t build profiles of you across other websites, and we don’t buy data about you from anyone.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry, to produce the audit or the work you’ve asked for, to send you the resulting documents, and to keep the records a business has to keep — invoices, contracts, and tax records.
If you become a client, we’ll also have access to whatever systems the engagement requires. That access is scoped to the work, used only for the work, and handed back or revoked when it’s finished.
Who else sees it
The services we run the business on — hosting, email, analytics, payment processing, and the AI providers whose APIs power the tools we build. They process data on our instructions and for no other purpose.
We disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don’t become engagements: up to two years, then deleted. Client records: as long as the relationship lasts, plus the period our legal and tax obligations require.
Your choices
Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email luke@civicdigitalgroup.comand we’ll action it. You don’t need to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.
